I don't really understand what is the obsession with heels, make up and all that stuff. I mean, we ladies are to always look good but there are some girls who take it to the next level. I bet some of them have around 30 pairs of heels and tons of make up, and they wear their huge heels almost everyday and then complain about how their feet hurt.
I'm not making this up. I know people like this. And the funny thing is that when I first knew them they were completely different but somehow along the way magazines and T.V got into their heads.
With all this I'm not saying that I don't like people like that. If you read carefully I'm talking about people I know and I still associate with. All I'm saying is that this whole obsession with making yourself look so hot that you almost look like a ghost anytime you don't wear any make-up is just too much.
Seeing this makes me glad that I can dress however I want and still feel good about myself. It makes me realize that I'm comfortable in my own skin.
Wearing heels every day might make me look hot today by letting me show off killer legs, but not so long after it will make people want to have their eyes poked out to not see those legs covered with varicose veins that look like they're about to explode (Gross!). And what about make-up? I will look like a living corpse any time I don't wear any, and I don't want that. I like keeping a natural appearance.
I mean, don't take me wrong. I still wear make up and heels, but only when necessary... Not every day! Not everywhere. I won't go to the chinito store a minute away from my house walking on heels, wearing clothes and make-up like I'm in fashion show, would I?
I may sound like I'm not a "normal" girl. Maybe I'm not, but what the hell. Haha! I love myself the way I am. If a girl wants to try hard to look like she's from a magazine cover, that's fine. It's her thing, not mine. All I know is that I'm happy with who I am.
